Mark Dungan - CNU squirrels
The other day I was hanging out and enjoying the nice weather before heading to class. While i was sitting there listening to my ipod and getting some sun, a squirrel came within 5 feet of my foot. Sitting really still, I tried not to startle the little "tree rat". I sat there and watched the squirrel scamper all around me looking for acorns or anything else he could get his claws on. I was sitting there eating a soft frie from the Commons and decided to throw one to him to see how close he would be willing to get to me. I broke off a piece of the frie and threw it in the squirrels eye cite to get his attention. I waited for the squirrel to finish the first half before i threw the second half. Once he did, I threw the frie to within about 2 feet of my foot to see if the squirrel would come. Sure enough he ran right up as if i was not even there and began to eat the second half. I have came to the conclusion that all the squirrels that roam CNU's campus are the most domesticated squirrels i've ever seen.
