Noland Trail

As I was walking through the trail with the wind in my face and the sun beeming down on me, I was the most relaxed that I had been in a while. Not having to worry about homework, tests or papers, I was able to walk around for a while stress free. During my walk I was able to listen to the many different birds singing their high pitched songs to one another. As I passed by a tree, I noticed a squirrel eyeing me down while he shook his tail in rage. I figured that he felt like I was in his territory. After a few seconds of staring each other down, the squirrel let out a little chirp and then ran away. Later on during my hike, I came across a dead looking tree. While I examined the trunk, I noticed dried up sap which made me think of the tree was bleeding at one point.

For the time that I spent on the trail, I was able to escape being a college student and just enjoyed the natural surroundings. Everyone needs to be able to get away from the rest of the world at one point and time in which they can just free themselves from the stresses of life.
