Flow- Christine Ellis

I believe that the world, chaotic or peaceful, happy or miserable, for better or worse, is based in the concept of "flow". Nature, as a series of places, events, and different forms of life, whether it seems cruel or fair, is always pushing forward. If a man dies, it matters, but in the grand scheme of things, his life is just a blade of grass in a huge blossoming field. When one blade dies, it doesn't stop the wind from blowing, the clouds from raining, or the sun from shining. Life goes on. Life itself, the energy and spark within everything that exists, has no concept of thinking things over, analyzing the question "why". It just "is" and it just "does".
Just like a professional who's in the midst of an intense basketball game, a seasoned comedian in the middle of a set, or a veteran lawyer having his final word with a jury, nature is devoid of thoughts on the actions it takes. When we are truly "in the zone", our brains, our bodies, and our souls have fused together for a brief moment in time. We don't second-guess ourselves and we don't hesitate. We simply live and perform the actions with which we have become so comfortable with. Of course, we as humans cannot live in the "flow" of things all the time. Sometimes, often in fact, we have to step outside of ourselves and examine what we are doing right and more importantly, what we are doing wrong. Always, though, we are striving to get to the point where we don't have to think at all, but simply go through the motions knowing that everything will turn out the way we planned. When we are in tune with nature, we are tune with that part of us that is strictly "happening". We are tapping into the universal flow that powers us all in some way.
