Listening to the song "Bury Me Under the Weeping Willow" by Rosanne Cash, I realized that I am not the only one that feels so at ease when sitting underneath a weeping willow tree. When I think about a time that I am most in touch with nature, and a time where everything escapes my mind and I feel most comfortable, I think about my childhood and the time I had spent just sitting underneath a weeping willow. Weeping Willows are my favorite types of trees, reason being because of the shape of the tree. The canopy type of shape that it grows to be almost makes me feel safe. It is kind of like the branches are hovering over you and protecting.
Weeping Willows are known mostly for their grace and beauty and for the fact that it is a place to go whenever you want shade. For me, looking outside of the beauty and grace, it is the fact that I can sit under a weeping willow and do just about anything. I could read a book, play guitar, listen to music, or even have a picnic and it will always add to the scenery.
