Rhonda Bryne's book, "The Secret" discusses and teaches the most powerful law of the universe, the law of attraction. This laws allows one to transform any of their suffering into peace. She writes about how we have the ability to train our minds to think a certain way, which in turn will give us what we want. Most of human thought consists of negativity, whether that's realized or not. People think about their problems and what they're worried about or afraid of. Those negative thoughts are then intertwined throughout all of our thoughts, which in turn impacts our actions. The law of attraction states that when we think, we send out waves of energy into the universe. By force of attraction, if we're sending out negative thoughts we will experience more neagtive things because that is what we're attracting to ourselves. In order to obtain peace and happiness, one must train themselves to think like they already have what they desire. For example, by thinking about already being happy, we're attracting happiness to ourselves. This can be related to this class in many ways. Spirtiuality has a lot to do with how we explore our mind. Bryne's book is completely about exploring the mind and being open to what we want. If one desires spirituality or being in touch with their religion, all they'd have to do is think in spiritual terms (according to the law of attraction). This can also be related to the axioms we learned about, espcially the axiom that talks about how a person can tred on a sacred place without entering it. If one allowed themselves to be open to the idea of finding a spritual place, they would be attracted that area.
