Nature Experience

Nature reminds me of the importance of life. Its beauty is well defined in its simplicity. Sun shines through trees illuminating every leaf, branch or bark piece. Some trees look swollen others are thin and not large enough to form shadows against the larger ones. All of the trees and branches in their organized chaos twist and turn to reach the sunlight and therefore life. It looks like a struggle for survival and ownership, as larger trees take up spaces in the soil, slowly killing a smaller tree beside it for lack of nutrients. Many say that art mimics life, this is shown by the colorful Monetisque views that simple tall grasses and dandelions exhume.

Leaves fall like boats onto the small waves of the lake, uncontrolled, unaccounted, driven and free. An old tree stretches out its branches, reminding human types of its strength and solidity. The trees dimples tell us its age. Time is void here; even the sounds of street cars passing become lost in scents of earth.

Nature is contained and inhibited; it is not allowed to be as wild and free as it would be without humans. Handmade bird houses line tree branches, man made paths throughout orderly and open, fresh cut grasses. If nature could speak, what would she say? Would she make angry remarks toward humans or would she enjoy the soft walks on her green grasses. Would she spread the branches of every tree far and wide, because now they seem restricted? How important are we to her?

Nature conveys beauty in the obvious, romance among dances between branches. It is graceful, remarkable and gifted. “Discovering this idyllic place, we find ourselves filled with a yearning to linger here, where time stands still and beauty overwhelms” (Author unknown).
