Potato Hole Road/my own topic...Crystal Cyr

I tend to experience God's creation best when I am jogging in the mornings. When I was in high school there was a road down the street from my house that I liked jogging on. My house was on a highway, but if you turn left out of the drive way and jog down about a hundred yards then you find a numbered road. I believe the number is 800 East. 800E was known, in my family, as Potato Hole Road. I am not sure why they named the road that, and I never actually asked. Potato Hole Road was a winding road through a wooded area. In the Spring it is loaded with little yellow and white flowers. It is quite the awesome sight. The road wound around a deep "hole,"or crest of a large hill.(Not really a valley, since I am from the Midwest(its pretty flat there)). Now that I think about it, the hole could have been a pond or something at one time. However, When I was little I used to think that the reason they named the road was that the "hole" was what was left from a giant potato that resided there before I was born. It was very James and the Giant Peach. Still, whenever I am home, I enjoy jogging on Potato Hole Road. And I will probably never ask why the road got its name. I not only enjoy what God has done with the place, but I also enjoy my, "Giant Potato Theory."
