Spenser Fleming--Flow

Flow was a little difficult for me to grasp at first. The concept of not being aware of being aware...kinda strange. Upon further discussion during class I started to understand. Flow is literally what you think it would be...if you think of it in the sense of "dont mess up the flow". I had to think of it in terms of sports. During my tennis days I realized that I had to lose myself in the game to play at my best. The conscious can easily cloud motor skills and emotions. When I let everything go, left just my ingrained reactions to play the game I would always win. The body and mind know what to do. If you leave it to them to play the game they will not disappoint. So, as Turner says "the actor must be aware, but not aware that he is aware". I would have to focus by not focusing. Silly, but true.
