Mark Dungan- Pilgrimage 4
What is a pilgrimage? A pilgrimage is a jounery in which one or a group searches for a moral significance. Many pilgrimages are included in that of different religions. In musilum faith, each musilum should visit Mecca atleast once in their lives. Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s when Russia was the USSR and communist ran, many communists felt that it they needed to come to Russia to visit Moscow because like Mecca, Moscow was considered the center or the "motherland". During the second World War, Italy was considered the site for pilgrimage for Italian Neo- Facists thanks to the efforts by Benito Mussolini. I feel that a pilgrimage does not need to be based on a religious aspect. I believe that if someone wants to make a journey to a place they consider to be of some importance or sacredness, then they have can consider themselves to be on a pilgrimage.
