I believe that leave “leave no trace” is a vital aspect to the preservation of nature. I learned about “leave no trace” years ago on a camping trip when I was younger. “Leave no trace” in my opinion means leaving a place in a better or “more natural” condition than you found it.
For example, you enter a campsite in which you find that the previous occupants made a fire ring and left the rocks there. “Leave no trace” would entice you to clean up the fire ring and distort all of the rocks and leftover wood as best you can so the site looks as though it hasn’t been touched before. Another common example would be to pick up all and any leftover trash that you may have brought with you to the campsite. A general saying in the hiking community is “pack it in, pack it out.” I believe that everyone should practice “leave no trace."
